First off, I want to thank you for taking the time to become part of the WorldInteractive. The idea for this forum as well as the
World Interactive website started to formulate back when I was travelling through South Asia. I would find myself hanging out in some café or chai shop or sometimes just sitting on a beach, it didn't really matter where, it was more about the who. Whether it was two people or twenty, stories always flowed. We would share which guest houses we stayed at (especially the ones to avoid), places to get the best meal, scams to avoid and off the beaten path places not to miss. We would be there as a support system and advice column.
Fast forward nearly twenty years and I created the WorldInteractive website as a place to share one's travel stories and advice. It's a fun endeavor and I am quite proud of it, but I've always wanted something even more interactive. The goal of this forum is to provide a space, a virtual chai stall if you will, where everyone can hang out and share and learn. Post stories of your travels, tell us where the best samosa in South India is, which island in Thailand is worth the boat ride...or just interact with others from around the globe about anything. Tell us which NGO (non governmental organization) is worth knowing about or what is occurring in your neck of the globe that others need to hear about. Keep it respectful and see the rules section for what is allowed and disallowed.
As much as I would love to sit in some small café and drink chai with each and everyone of you, this forum will have to suffice. Come on in, pull up a seat and share what you know.
